What is Mindfulness?

Mindfulness can be defined as “the awareness that arises through paying attention, on purpose and in the present moment.”

The body of research into the effects of mindfulness is growing substantially and demonstrates that through mindfulness based practices we can all transform the way in which our minds work. Through the practice of mindfulness we can improve our mental well-being and live happier and more fulfilled lives.

A little bit about Reena…

‘I came to mindfulness some years ago, when experiencing a particularly difficult period in my life. As a long-term yogi I became more drawn to the meditative aspects of my yoga practice. Attending an 8 week Mindfulness based stress relief course completely changed my approach to dealing with the difficulties in my own life.

I am currently training to teach mindfulness at Bangor University, one of the leading UK institutions for mindfulness- based approaches. Following this course, I maintained my daily mindfulness practice. I regularly go on retreats to deepen my understanding. The transformational nature of my own experience led me to train to become a Mindfulness instructor.

My intention is to offer these simple but profoundly transformational techniques to others.’
